Food for thought lang after this fiasco. I came across this quote: "Equality is not about treating everyone in the same way, but it recognises that their needs are met in different ways. Equality is about making sure people are treated fairly and given fair chances".
It is a sad reality na meron tlgang social classes. Sabi ni Ms. Fernandez, "Although it may sound elitist to you the fact is this country is built on the foundation of haves, have-nots and wannabes. One group will never get the culture of the other." There is some truth to that. But recognizing cultural diversity does not mean one is less than the other.
